Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of participating in a tech event hosted at Booking.com in Amsterdam, where we gave away signed copies of Kubernetes Recipes to attendees.
Booking.com runs one of the largest Kubernetes deployments in Europe, and their engineering community is deeply invested in container orchestration at scale. The event brought together platform engineers, SREs, and DevOps professionals who deal with Kubernetes daily — exactly the audience this book was written for.
We distributed copies of Kubernetes Recipes to attendees who participated in the Q&A sessions and hands-on workshops. The response was incredible:
The conversations at Booking.com reinforced what I see across the industry:
Some quotes from attendees:
“Finally a Kubernetes book that starts with the problem, not the theory. I can actually use these recipes on Monday morning.”
“The SR-IOV and GPU chapters are exactly what we needed. Nobody else covers this at a practical level.”
“I’ve been looking for a book that treats Kubernetes like a production tool, not a toy. This is it.”
A huge thank you to the Booking.com engineering team for hosting and to everyone who attended. The Kubernetes community in the Netherlands continues to be one of the most vibrant and engaged I’ve encountered.
If you missed the event, you can grab a copy of Kubernetes Recipes on Amazon or explore 1200+ free recipes at kubernetes.recipes.
